Come to Steele Creek Park & Family Campground for your camping vacation in the mountains of western North Carolina. We attract people who want to come to Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, Morganton, Linville, and Boone, North Carolina. Steele Creek park offer camp sites for tent camping, camp sites for RV camping and we offer seasonal RV camping as well in western North Carolina. We have an on-site camp store, gameroom and snack bar.

Our on-site activities include our fabulous water slide, fishing, hiking, swimming with two diving boards, picnics, & miniature golf. We also host an annual GNCC racing event on site. Please see our site map

Thanks to our size and acreage, our campground is a perfect place for rallies, events, RV club events, company picnics, reunions, birthday parties and more.
There is an abundance of scenic attractions in our local area. There are waterfalls including Linville Falls, Upper Creek Falls, Lower Creek Falls, and more. The Appalachian Trail routes through our area. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a few miles further North, Linville Caverns ans Linville Gorge are closer to the north. Grandfather Mountain, Table Rock, Hawk's Bill, Wiseman's View, and The Brown Mountain Lights are all local attractions.

The High Country in western North Carolina has the highest elevation east of the Rockies at Mount Mitchell, with an elevation of 6,684 feet.

Prices:

Tent Camping:
$25.00 per night, up to two people
$3.00 per night per additional person

Campers, RVs, Motorhomes:
Sunday - Thursday: $25.00 for up to two people
Friday - Saturday, & Holidays: $29.00 for up to two people
$3.00 per night per additional person
Seasonal rates for RV camping are available

We have cabins for rent to groups as well


Day visitors: - $5.00 adults, $3.00 children

Waterslide:
$5.00 per person for 30 minutes.
$10.00 for all day.

Policies:

We are a family campground. Our quiet hour begins at 11:00 pm

Small Pets Are Allowed In Campground Provided They Are Maintained On A Leash And Kept Reasonably Quiet And Not Left Unattended.
